Foreigners Authority

The foreigners' registration Office (Ausländerbehörde) is responsible for issuing and extending various types of residence permits, for issuing residence permits for presentation to other authorities, for assessing entry applications for university studies, German language classes, the family reunification programme, etc., for tolerance permits (Duldung), the eligibility to participate in an integration course.
