Social Service (Department of Youth)

Since 2011, thanks to the assistance of the Youth Social Services Department (Sozialdienst des Fachbereiches Jugend) unaccompanied refugees, which enter Germany without their parents or any adult family members, have been placed in the care of foster families in Göttingen or in supported living facilities run by the registered charity Youth Support Southern Lower Saxony (Jugendhilfe Süd-Niedersachsen e.V., JSN).
